The project aimed to first rebrand Orphis to clearly differentiate the company brand from the product brand, Orphy. The second task was to help the team find the right product-market fit for Orphy, a flexible SaaS CRM solution.
My role involved an analysis and taking over leadership in rebranding.
The founder and the team, as they represent the brand in the future.
The main issue was that the company name, Orphis, was not distinguishable from the product name, Orphy, leading to confusion among prospects and customers.
I conducted an internal survey to gather key indicators from the team about their expectations, current feelings, and reasons regarding the brand. This analysis was crucial in guiding the rebranding strategy. The new brand strategy focused on making Orphis an independent, project-oriented, user-driven company with clear technical expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies. The brand identity was developed through collaboration with an external expert and incorporating my own ideas. This included designing a new logo, color scheme, and typography that reflected the new brand strategy.
The rebranding resulted in a clear, easy-to-understand brand identity that included a website, business cards, and a corporate manual for future needs. This helped in reducing confusion and establishing a distinct identity for both the company and the product.
The project highlighted the importance of team and founder alignment with the new brand to maintain motivation and consistency. This ensures that the brand identity remains strong and effective in the long term.
